Maybe
some readers don't know this. Therefore, search until you find this article,
read it and find the answer. Just an assumption.. Hehe. August is a special
month for Indonesia. Why is that? Of course, because in August, for the State
of Indonesia, August is very important because it commemorates its independence
and commemorates the services of heroes.
Earlier,
on August 17, 1945, Indonesia declared its independence from the Netherlands.
Thus, Indonesia designated it as the Day commemorating Indonesia's Independence
and on August 17, until now it has been made a national holiday.
Then,
in August, the Indonesian people usually hold competitions as a form of
celebration. However, the most mandatory activity from the State of Indonesia
is to hold a Red and White Flag Raising Ceremony at the Merdeka Palace. The
ceremony was certainly attended by the President, Vice President, ministers,
and other state officials. These activities are also not only carried out in
the center of the State. Ceremonies are also carried out at the Provincial,
Regency, and City levels.
As
we said at the beginning, August is also full of activities and festivities. In
the village, people will usually simultaneously put up the Red and White Flag
such as in front of their houses, on the street, and in other public places.
Such is a form of their love for their country and respect for Heroes. Not only
that, there will usually also be many activities and events carried out to
commemorate Indonesian Independence Day such as parades, music concerts, and
art performances.
So,
in August this is a very historic and memorable month. And become a month that
is a source of pride for the Indonesian people. They celebrate their
independence to remember and commemorate the heroes who have fought for
Indonesian independence. After all, the heroes who fought against the
colonizers were heroes who were willing to fight together to defend their
country, therefore we are obliged to respect and thank them.
